Princeton in Africa

Overview

Princeton in Africa is the only leadership-development program of its kind currently operating on the African continent. Fellows engage in yearlong, full-time fellowships and make significant contributions to the success of each host organization, while deepening their understanding and appreciation for the advancement of African affairs. Fellows have contributed to improvements in 37 countries across the continent in the areas of: Business and Economic Development, Education & Youth Capacity Building, Public & Community Health, Environmental Conservation and Sustainability, and Civil Society.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  • be undergraduate seniors or young professionals; 
  • hold a bachelor's, master's or PhD from a U.S. accredited university; 
  • not be enrolled in a graduate program during their fellowship year; 
  • be 35 years old or younger
