Davis-Putter Scholarship Fund

Overview

The Davis-Putter Scholarship Fund provides financial support for students who are active and emerging organizers in progressive movements for liberation, self-determination and social and economic justice in their communities. Grantees are doing work characterized by an opposition to capitalism, racism/white supremacy, hetero patriarchy and gender-based violence, environmental exploitation and/or other forms of systemic harm and oppression.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled or planning to enroll during the grant year
  • Be actively involved in progressive social justice work in the United States
  • Engage in work that directly challenges systems of oppression (e.g., capitalism, racism/white supremacy, patriarchy, environmental exploitation, U.S. imperialism)
  • Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to movement-based work and collective social change
