Academic Programs

The Buffalo Educational Opportunity Center offers year round academic support to adult learners in Western New York. Our instructors are dedicated to providing hands-on learning in small classrooms.

The Academic Review program includes three components that provide a continuum of remediation from basic education to  pre-High School Equivalency Preparation.
UBEOC provides an array of college preparation components and services designed to support its students and adult learners from a community that has the objective of attending college. The goal of our college preparation programming and services is to create lifelong learners who can compete successfully in higher education, allied health program training and society. We seek to accomplish this goal through College Prep Allied Health Track, College Prep Summer Institute, and College Connections – Community Service.
The ESL program provides students with developmental skills training in reading, writing, mathematics, computer literacy, study skills, and conversational English. The academic skills training enables student to qualify for enrollment in higher level training programs and/or function at a level of literacy acceptable for employment in non-technical entry-level jobs.
