This includes our job board, information on various job search engines, facilitation of career-development workshops/events, and templates/resources to help you create your employment documents.

Contact Career Services to learn more about upcoming events, workshops, and career fairs. Career Services offers numerous workshops/events in the classroom and outside of the classroom on various topics including resume writing, job search strategies, and interview skills.
Career Services request all current students who have changed their employment status since enrolling and recent graduates complete the Employment Verification Form to help keep our records updated. In addition to employment verification Career Services also request all students and recent graduates complete the Job Application Form when they apply for a job. Any information that is collected is confidential and will only be used for data purposes.
At the Buffalo EOC, the classroom is just a starting point. Our students receive a full range of career services to prepare for externships, job placement, and career advancement. Career Services staff can meet with you 1:1 to help you create a portfolio with your employment documents, prepare you for an interview, and provide you with job search assistance and career advice.
Your career portfolio is a collection of your career, education, and professional activities. It provides insight into your personality and work ethic. Typically, a portfolio will include your resume, cover letter, and reference page; additional documents that can be included in a portfolio are work samples and reference letters. Utilizing a portfolio can help you have a more organized job search and standout in an interview. Career Services will work with you to help you develop a professional portfolio.
An interview is your moment to be confident and tell an employer why you can do the job and why you should be hired for the position. We are here to help you prepare and get the job that is a right fit for you.

Career Services has partnerships with various employers in the Buffalo area including Brothers of Mercy, Charter Spectrum, Univera Healthcare, Jericho Road Community Health Center, University of Buffalo Campus Dining & Shops, DaVita, and Ingram Micro. Buffalo EOC students/alumni if you apply for any opportunities at these companies be sure to update Career Services by completing the Job Application Form. Career Services is actively working with our employer partners to help our students/alumni secure employment with their company.
Graduates of Buffalo EOC programs have successfully obtained employment with various organizations including hospitals, healthcare organizations, dental offices, not-for-profits, production facilities, and Fortune 500 companies including WNY Dental Group, Kaleida Health, Catholic Health, Aspire of WNY, Roswell Park Cancer Institute, and GEICO. Our graduates have held titles including Medical Assistant, Interpreter, Dental Assistant, Sterile Processing Technician, Receptionist, Machine Operator, Teacher’s Aide, Customer Service Representative, and Medical Biller.
