Undergraduate Student Project

Introduction

My name is Savannah Sigmon and I am a Senior B.F.A. Dance Major and Business Minor. I am from North Carolina and found UB through my dance studio by going to a summer dance program here ever since I was 13! I started dancing at the age of 4 and it quickly became more than just an after school activity. I went on to dance competitively and win several awards, including Miss Dance of North Carolina, which led me to continue to pursue my dreams and study dance in college.

During my time at UB I have had the honor of being able to work with several faculty members and choreographers including being a member of Zodiaque Dance Company for three years. In the future, I would love to perform, specifically in the musical theater dance genre, and then go on to own a dance studio. Having a minor in business as well as experience in classes focusing on the arts will help prepare me for my future in dance.
