Todd Glosser: Working Outside the Box

Todd Glosser knew he wanted to work outdoors, and so Geology seemed like a logical major. But that choice expanded his horizons immensely.

UB's Geology department and his mentor, Dr. Elizabeth Thomas, encouraged him to not only get outside and take water samples in the Buffalo area to study the geological history and factors of climate change, but also to bring that work into the UB community and continue his work in the research labs on campus.

By receiving funding through ELN, he was able to participate in research and get involved with other like-minded undergraduate and graduate students doing important work in the fields of Geology and climate change.
