One day, Marie Meltzer went on to UB's website to look up study abroad opportunities; she didn't know that her choice would be life-changing.

She was already studying political science and interested in going to law school, but her trip abroad, to the Mara region of Tanzania, inspired her to look beyond her America-centric views, and expand her ambitions to the wider world community.

Now, she has intentions to turn that interest in law toward international law, international relations, and human rights, so that she will be able to make a difference in people's lives.
