Design materials for a creative arts and skills project to benefit orphaned children in Uganda.
Beyond Culture LTD is a Nonprofit organization that supports social projects within Ugandan communities. Currently, Beyond Culture is focusing on a school in Mugiti village called Home of Good Hope, that educates 120 students, including many who have been orphaned with one or both parents deceased.
We would like to teach the students outlets for creative expression, and valuable skills that may be used in future endeavors. Students would have the opportunity to learn different types of art (sketching, painting, etc), crafting, upcycling, music (singing, playing instruments, dancing,) creative writing (story telling, poetry) and agriculture (digging, planting, cultivating).
Our goal is to engage students, and to equip them with skills that will help them discover their passion and talents, and may inspire their career paths/future businesses upon completing school. The project may also include other topics, if the means exist, and we welcome any and all suggestions and participation in the design of the project.
