UE 296: Sophomore Externship Experience

Sophomores-UB Can Match you with a Top WNY Company for a Summer Externship! 

Project description

As part of the Western New York Sophomore Externship Experience, students will have the opportunity to connect with Western New York's top companies. Open to all majors and eligible for course credit, this eight week experience is designed to allow students to develop their professional and innovation skill sets as well as make deep and long-lasting connections to Buffalo and the Western New York Region. As part of the project, externs will earn $4,000 whilst completing the following:

-25 Hours/week in June and July
-Attendance at in-person events hosted by UB Externship experience or designated groups.
-Participation in online discussion boards as outlined via UB Brightspace
-Completion and submission of end of externship reflection paper.
-Presentation during end of externship showcase, Wednesday, July 31, 2024.

Project outcome

Students will create a physical poster outlining the results of their externship experience and present it during a poster session during the end of project showcase.
