The goal of this project is to utilize piezoelectric sensors to measure ground reaction forces (GRF's) of bipedal walking, and incorporate these measurements into a dynamical model to predict overall gait patterns. The applications of such a study are broad, but we seek to tailor these results for virtual reality (VR), where GRF measurements from piezoelectric sensors are used to predict or modulate the subject's motion in a virtual environment.
The specific outcomes of this project will be identified by the faculty mentor at the beginning of your collaboration.
