Smart Materials To Improve Human Health

two scientists work to create bones.

Students will work with various biomaterial fabrication techniques such as electrospinning, 3D printing and chemical synthesis to innovate biomedical applications that can sense and release antimicrobial agents.

Project description

Our lab works with various biomaterial fabrications techniques such as electrospinning, 3D printing and chemical synthesis. We use these approaches to innovate various biomedical applications such as a 'smart' dentures or wound bandages that can sense and release antimicrobial agents.
