What I did

Photo of Ukraine.

From July to October of 2022, I completed Civil Affairs Specialist Training at the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Training Center. During this training I performed as my company's platoon guide and squad leader where I gained valuable insight into what it takes to be a strong and effective leader in a variety of challenging situations.

What I learned

There was a strong emphasis on the importance of teamwork and the consequences of failing to work as a team. These experiences, through trial and error, taught me how to unite a diverse group of people, with strong ideas to work together to get tasks done against pressure and adverse conditions. Through my experience with the Army, I learned discipline and perseverance in the face of adversity and have grow not only as a leader but also as a member of a team.
