Student reflections

What I did

Food bag photo.

I had the privilege of delivering boxes of fresh fruit and vegetables to patients of the Lighthouse Free Medical Clinic who screened positive for food insecurity. I was primarily tasked with picking up food boxes from Fresh Fix and delivering them to patients enrolled in LFMC's food delivery program

What I learned

In addition to acquiring new skills such as teamwork, communication and problem solving, I have learned a lot. My project has impacted others by becoming one step closer to increasing food accessibility in Buffalo. Furthermore, witnessing these insecurities first-hand has further compelled me to work towards alleviating these issues.
