What I did

Photo of mickey mouse and person.

I participated in the Disney College Program: an internship designed for students to work at Walt Disney World. I worked as a custodian at both ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and Animal Kingdom. I gained transferable skills, such as networking, problem solving, teamwork, and communication.

What I learned

I learned how to maintain a clean work space and proper sterile techniques for maintaining a clean park. This is also an important skill for dentists to have. Working with patients, it is important to have clean and sterile instruments and work spaces. It also taught me how to work as a part of team and the value of professionalism. I believe that is an amazing opportunity for students and allows a person to grow as an individual, as well as teaching them skills that are valuable for future career paths.
