The University at Buffalo Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) will hold a community discussion focused on healthy aging in older adults from 12 to 2 p.m. on April 11 in the Dr. Eva M. Doyle Auditorium at the Frank E. Merriweather Library, 1324 Jefferson Avenue in Buffalo. This is the first CTSI Science Café event and will feature UB’s Kinga Szigeti, MD, PhD, Associate Professor, Department of Neurology, Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. To attend, register here.
A Science Café is an engaging conversation about science in a casual setting. Community members talk with researchers about real-world issues and the ways that research can impact health. The events are free and open to all, and the CTSI is planning to hold several each year.
The April 11 Science Café featuring Dr. Szigeti, the Director of UB’s Alzheimer‘s Disease and Memory Disorders Center, will include an interactive presentation on healthy aging followed by an open discussion. In addition, NY Connects will offer a table featuring information about senior services.
