This workshop will teach learners how to acquire, handle and publish on sensitive health data including Protected Health Information. They will learn the risks and punishments for a data breach.  The learner will know how to write IRB applications that respect autonomy and display best practice in data management and security. We will use case studies to emphasize pitfalls that researchers and research staff can fall into that would lead them unknowingly to be complicit in a data breach.
