This workshop focuses on forging strategies designed to eliminate race-based disparities in the Buffalo-Niagara Region. This workshop will be a brainstorming session on strengthening the movement to eliminate health inequities in the region. This workshop conceptualizes "health disparities" as "health inequities" spawned by systemic structural racism. The workshop will discuss the importance of framing the "health inequity problem" and brainstorm strategies to eliminate health inequities in the Buffalo-Niagara region. This workshop, "theory meeting realty," is the platform for discussing ideas for bringing about "real" change in the healthcare system.
