Research fostered and supported by the UBCSA includes a broad spectrum of innovative and collaborative projects.
Research projects range from the exploration of microRNA profiles, to the effect of high intensity interval training on frailty, to patient pharmacy safety, sleep, caregiving, elder law, and the engineering and architecture of the built environment.
Team Alice is focused on polypharmacy and deprescribing for patient safety with primary care physicians and pharmacists. The UBCSA is partnering with the UB Primary Care Research Institute on this project led by Institute Director Prof. Ranjit Singh of the Jacobs School's Department of Family Medicine, and Dr. Bob Wahler, UB Department of Pharmacy Practice.
