Adnan Siddiqui portrait with quote.

“A clinical trial is a journey that typically should lead to more questions than answers. Each type brings its own flavor, struggles, limitations, and rewards."

Out of 20 years of clinical trials, the two most significant in my mind are the PREMISE trial, which halted an unnecessary procedure being performed on patients with multiple sclerosis and the SWIFT-PRIME trial, which resulted in stroke finally being considered a treatable disease through intervention. Both these trials, in their own way, transformed the landscape of the disease state they were evaluating. That translated into hundreds of thousands of patients either not receiving an unnecessary procedure or being treated for a vital life-restoring procedure. That is the greatest satisfaction of performing clinical trials.
