  • UB announced plans to return to campus this fall, offering educational and research programs under a modified in-person format starting Aug. 31, pending final guidance from Governor Cuomo and SUNY. All instruction will shift to distance learning after the fall recess, which begins Nov. 25. Answers to FAQs about UB’s fall plans are available online.

  • Student Life remains committed to providing support and essential student services regardless of classroom and housing restrictions necessitated by social distancing. This new Student Guide outlines what students returning to campus need to know.

  • Before beginning the gradual return of employees, units have been asked to develop return-to-work plans that follow a set of best-practice health guidelines for review by expert teams within the offices of Facilities, Human Resources, and Environment, Health and Safety. Until a unit’s plan receives approval, employees who are working remotely should continue to do so.

  • The Division of Athletics announced a phased return-to-campus plan for student-athletes to begin on-campus, voluntary workouts. To prioritize health and safety, Athletics will follow the NCAA’s resocialization plan, which works in accordance with federal guidelines.
