State officials recently announced that individuals age 16 and up are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine starting April 6. As UB researchers find that new variants are spreading in Western New York, UB encourages members of the university to protect themselves and their community. WNY Vaccine Hound, a new website developed by faculty, students and staff from UB’s School of Management, aims to help people find available vaccination appointments in the area.
Starting Monday, April 5, UB’s surveillance testing program will rely on direct saliva sampling using a collection vial in place of oral swabs. Testing procedures will otherwise remain the same.
