  • Provost A. Scott Weber provided an update on the Screening, Testing and Contact Tracing Protocol Committee’s work. The committee is pursuing technology customized to UB that will allow faculty, staff and students to engage in daily screening protocols. In addition, UB is now finalizing a comprehensive set of official health and safety guidelines that will be shared with all students, faculty and staff soon.

  • Students planning to reside on campus this fall received new information about what to expect when the semester starts. This new webpage compiles that info and will be updated as additional details become available.

  • As Western New York prepared to advance to Phase 4, Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul held a press conference at UB to discuss the state’s reopening plan. Along with UB health experts, she stressed the importance of wearing face masks in public.

Resources for Faculty and Staff

    • UB Community Advocates. Interested employees are invited to take part in a new program being developed to support a culture of responsible health and safety compliance on campus. Email wellness@buffalo.edu to learn more.
    • Room capacity signs. A customizable template is available for download to print room capacity signs for conference rooms and other shared areas.
    • Returning to campus. Guidance for employees returning to campus safely is collected on this website. Individuals should contact their supervisor for specific guidance regarding their personal work situation.

Resources for Students

    • Navigate app. Launching later this month, the smartphone app will enable students to sync class schedules and calendars; schedule appointments with advisors or tutors; locate campus resources; and more.
