UB has kicked off the spring semester with extensive plans and protocols in place, including a modified in-person instruction format and greatly reduced density on campus. In a message to the UB community, President Satish K. Tripathi wished students, faculty and staff a safe and successful start and thanked all for their continued compliance with safety measures.
During a visit to UB last weekend, SUNY Chancellor Jim Malatras announced that SUNY will soon establish a new lab on UB’s South Campus to improve surveillance testing capacity and turnaround time for all Western New York SUNY campuses.
Several changes are in place in campus libraries this semester, including a swipe-card entry system at Lockwood and Abbott, a check-in system at Silverman, a new locker system that allows pickup of requested materials outside of a library building, and more.
