  • In accordance with an updated SUNY policy, UB will now require weekly COVID-19 testing of all students, faculty and staff who are on campus regularly during the spring semester. The quick and easy procedure will again utilize self-administered saliva samples collected at on-campus test sites. Students who are expected on campus received a message by email with further details. Employees can read this bulletin for more information. 

  • The COVID-19 dashboard will continue to serve as UB’s primary method for daily communication of positive cases throughout the semester. Results of weekly testing of all students, faculty and staff who regularly come to campus will also be posted.

Resources for Faculty and Staff

    • Helping students adjust. Counseling Services will present a workshop aimed at helping faculty and staff recognize and respond to the impact of pandemic-related stress on students.
    • Zoom updates. UB Zoom was recently updated with new features for better security, breakout rooms, polling and more.

Resources for Students

    • Spring counseling groups. A variety of five-week support groups are available, offered twice per semester. To participate, students must complete a needs assessment with a UB Counseling Services counselor.
    • Virtual UB backgrounds. Campus locations and landscapes are available here as Zoom backgrounds, with instructions included.
