  • Two UB applied-learning research projects have been awarded grants from the SUNY Prepare Innovation and Internship Program, supporting advancements in personal protective equipment production and other solutions to COVID-19. One will focus on an innovative wastewater surveillance approach to monitor viral infections on campuses. The other, based on an idea that came out of UB’s Startup Weekend, will automate the sewing process for fabric masks.
