The chancellor has called for SUNY schools to institute uniform sanctions for COVID-19 health and safety violations starting Oct. 1. UB officials say the new policy is consistent with the university’s Student Code of Conduct and student compliance policies.
While the university’s current case count toward the 100-case threshold permits the continuation of in-person learning in accordance with New York State Department of Health guidance, plans are in place to guide operations in the case of a temporary shift to fully remote learning.
The fitness center in Alumni Arena reopened Oct. 1 to students and employees by appointment only.
