Together, we can help ensure a safer campus experience. By making good choices, we can work to stop the spread of COVID-19. Remember — this is a shared responsibility.
If a student or employee on campus is in violation of the health and safety guidelines, consider:
1. Talking with them, if appropriate. Be polite, but direct.
2. Sharing a Compliance Card. These are available on campus.
3. Asking for help: If talking to a student or employee is uncomfortable, or not possible, ask for help from another student, faculty or staff member or resident advisor, as appropriate.
You will be directed to UB’s EthicsPoint form, which is utilized to report concerns at UB including COVID-19 health and safety and other compliance issues. We encourage you to provide as much information as possible about the compliance violation. You can opt to report anonymously, if you choose.
This form should NOT be used to report emergencies or other urgent matters, including off-campus parties. For guidance on how to report those issues, see below.
If you need to report a large gathering of people on campus who are not practicing social distancing or wearing masks, contact University Police immediately.
To report off-campus gatherings or parties where attendees are not wearing masks and/or maintaining social distancing, call 911 and report it to the local police.
Be aware that students who host large parties may be subject to a $1,500 fine for violating City of Buffalo ordinances.
