FAQs about COVID-19

All UB students who live on campus or who come to campus for classes or activities are required to complete their primary COVID-19 vaccination series and are strongly encouraged to get boosters when eligible, in accordance with SUNY guidelines.

• Vaccination requirement. Students (including graduate and professional) must be in compliance with the COVID-19 vaccination requirement. 
  • New and continuing students must submit documentation of their COVID-19 primary vaccination(s) before they are allowed to register for courses. If you have not already done so, submit proof through the UB Health Services Patient Portal. 
    • If you received your vaccinations in New York State, UB Health Services may already have received this information from the New York State Immunization Information System (NYSIIS).
    • To view the COVID-19 vaccination information that UB Health Services currently has on file for you or to upload your documentation, go to the UB Health Services Patient Portal.
    • Noncompliance with requirements: Students who do not comply with the COVID-19 vaccination requirements will be blocked from registering for future terms until they fulfill the requirements.
