How is UB supporting students who need to quarantine or isolate?

For residential students, UB has designated several floors of a residence hall for quarantines and isolation when there is a positive case or suspected positive case. The students will be provided food and care while they are in quarantine. High-speed wifi, and access to all remote learning resources will be available to students staying in quarantine locations so that they can meet their academic commitments.

Off-campus students will be advised to quarantine or self-isolate at their residence and will be monitored by the Dept. of Health. The university will assist any off-campus student who has difficulty obtaining food and care.

If students need to miss class due to illness, isolation or quarantine, they must notify their instructor by email as soon as possible and no later than 24 hours after missing class. Residential students may request assistance from Campus Living to provide faculty notifications.
