What should I do if a student or university employee is not abiding by UB’s guidelines?

One of the most important things we can do is to work together to build and sustain a culture that takes our health, public health and the safety of others seriously. Students, faculty and staff must all follow a shared set of behavioral expectations  to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19. We have a mutual responsibility to keep ourselves and each other safe.

We continue to actively communicate UB’s health and safety guidelines and standards through posters, signage, emails, websites, social media and in-person discussions.

For those members of the university community who do not follow these guidelines, our first priority and initial step is to respectfully engage them in conversation.

There are protocols in place to handle situations where students or employees are not following UB’s health guidelines, and are continuously putting others’ health and safety at risk.
