Students on TA/GA/RA appointments and post-doctoral scholars are expected to carry out their employment obligations and should consult their supervisors for guidance regarding any modifications to regular duties.

Students working for independent study and dissertation credit

Faculty who have students working in the lab or elsewhere for academic credit—including independent study and dissertation credit—should work with each of their students to develop a plan for continued academic progress appropriate to the degree or credit pursued.

In the event that a plan cannot be resolved between the student and the faculty, the student student has the right to file a grievance by following the appropriate grievance process:
