Everyone—even students at the top of their class—benefits from a little bit of extra help. In addition to our tutoring opportunities, there are other services on campus and online available to assist you.
All UB students have access to free, unlimited, online tutoring from STAR-NY in accounting, biology, chemistry, computer science, economics, math, nursing, organic chemistry, physics, psychology and writing. Their hours are Sundays through Thursdays, from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. You must log in before 11:30 p.m. Request a tutor and learn more.
The Center for Excellence in Writing is the place to talk about your writing. Whether it be a course essay, application materials or an individual project, you can schedule an individual consultation at any stage of your writing process. We offer in-person meetings in our Main Center (17 Norton), our satellite center in TASS (128 Capen) or through our remote platform with video/audio and file sharing. Appointments are available seven days a week, including evening hours. You can schedule at our website or drop in to 17 Norton Hall to schedule.
Visit the Thomas J. Edwards Undergraduate Learning Center, 211 Baldy Hall.
For more information see your UB Learns Chemistry site. No appointment is necessary and all support is through Zoom.
