The Renaissance is a period of great change, with renewed focus on the individual and the pursuit of ?glory? that we will study. But did this focus on the potential of the individual apply to all, despite gender, ethnic, racial, and class differences? To paraphrase one historian, who had a Renaissance? We will seek to answer that question.
