| Course Description |
|
|
| For COMPLETE beginners only, providing a thorough grounding in conversational and reading skills of modern vernacular Chinese. Students with some facility in the spoken language (because Chinese or Cantonese is spoken at home) but who do not read characters should take CHI 104. Students who read Chinese, but who speak ?dialects,? such as Cantonese or Amoy, should enroll in CHI201. It is NOT open to native speakers. Students taking this course are not permitted to enroll in CHI 191 or CHI 194-CHI 195, and vice versa. |
