This course focuses on Kanien?keha (Mohawk language) in its spoken and written form. Provides a basic introduction to pronunciation, reading, writing, conversation and introduces cultural topics. AMS276 is intended for students with minimal to no knowledge of or language ability in Kanien?keha. As Kanien?keha is a verb-based, polysynthetic language, this course will also focus on verb construction, verb-morphology patterns and syntax structures. |

Expression of meaning and linguistic concepts in a number of native languages of North America. This course is the same as LIN 275 and course repeat rules will apply. Students should consult with their major department regarding any restrictions on their degree requirements. |
