Close attention to questions of just war, religious syncretism, indigenous cultural realities and continuities, and an emerging creole consciousness. Readings from Colon, Diaz del Castillo, Las Casas, Cabeza de Vaca, Sahagun, Ercilla, Garcilaso de la Vega, Erauso, and Sor Juana, among others. | |||||||
