Advanced Topics in Distributed Systems In this discussion-based seminar course, we will cover state-of-the-art techniques, designs, and theoretical findings in today's distributed systems. The topics we will cover include fundamental and important distributed systems concepts, e.g., consistency, fault tolerance, and distributed transactions. We will discuss research papers published in top-notch system venues, e.g., SOSP and OSDI, and recent advances in production systems.
