| Course Description |
|
|
| This Fall Semester companion course to BMI 501 provides an introduction to the biomedical informatics journal and monograph literature, databases and information management tools. Students will also review the methods for critically reading, summarizing and presenting a journal article for discussion and must attend three faculty or visiting researcher seminar presentations. Finally, each student will spend three weeks with a member of the BMI faculty, learning about and helping with some aspect of their research. At the end of the semester, each student will give a brief presentation reporting on this research practicum experience. |
