A required M.U.P. course. PD 691Colloquium 1: Required departmental colloquium, offered each fall term, brings together students and faculty to explore contemporary planning issues, provide professional development, and introduce research findings, books, and films relevant to the field. Draws upon speakers, discussions, fieldwork, and debates to broaden and hone thought on current themes and topics.
  Course Description
Topics vary annually. In the past, an examination of introductory issues pertaining to urban and environmental planning, including regional development. Included historical, theoretical, formal, technical, and ethical concerns in urban planning, environmental design, and development. Content defined by instructor; with discussions focused on assigned readings, lectures, and site visits . May be offered on an intermittent basis.
