  Course Description
Microscopic Anatomy & Computational Methods is a lecture/laboratory course that deals with the microscopic structure of the body, i.e., cells, tissue and organs, and the analysis of microscopic structure by computational methods. The course concentrates on principles of organization and function that are the basis for classifying different cells and different tissues; pays particular attention to morphological features that permit the recognition of organs; relates the morphology of cells/tissues to functions that they perform relative to the organs and relative to the body as a whole; and introduces the use of computational methods used in analysis of histological images.
