  Course Description
Introduce the concepts and basic laws for energy storage, transfer, and transformation, which refers to the renewable and alternative energy resources, and their sustainable usage. The thermodynamic properties of materials and how they are used in the solution of engineering problems are emphasized, and this knowledge are applied to evaluate various renewable and alternative energy, and sustainability. Topics include fossil fuels, environmental impact, nuclear energy, solar, wind, hydrothermal, ocean, biomass, energy storage battery, and sustainability, etc.
