Ian Knowland

Ian Knowland is currently a UB undergraduate student majoring in both Philosophy and Linguistics. His interest in Applied Ontology led him first to UB’s undergraduate Ontology Club and then a seminar with Dr. John Beverley on the topic of intelligence analysis and ontology engineering. Outside of school, Ian is a researcher associated with the National Center for Ontological Research (NCOR) and maintains a position as a Knowledge Engineer at Summit Knowledge Systems, LLC where he provides ontology solutions to a variety of industry partners and missions.
