Stefanone Weighs in on Refugee Ban

Associate Professor Dr. Michael Stefanone was quoted alongside Stuart Shapiro (Rutgers) and Michelle Benson-Saxton (University at Buffalo) in a recent article in USA Today article.  

Responding to President Donald Trump's executive order to temporarily bar refugees and citizens of seven predominantly Muslim countries from entering the U.S., Stefanone, whose work has focused on the psychological impact of government policy through social media, notes that some people could view the ban as reinforcement of a “them vs. us” mentality against Muslims – and react violently.
