Facebook or Fakebook? Stefanone Weighs In.

An April 10th article published by Newsweek discusses how one-hundred cardboard cutouts of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg were placed on capitol grounds in order to make a statement about fake identities on Facebook.  Associate Professor of Communication, Dr. Michael Stefanone was interviewed for the article. He states that “there has been a swell of interest and outrage which culminated in Zuckerberg’s finally agreeing to appear before congressional committees. This is not a proactive approach to crisis management."  Facebook has responded to the outrage by apologizing and creating a new “trust” feature.
