Grizzard Debates Public Access to Mass Shooting Footage on NPR

On November 13, Assistant Professor of Communication Matthew Grizzard was part of a debate on Public Radio International's The Takeaway. In the wake of recent mass shoorts, the question the segment sought to address was: Should the public have access to footage of these mass shootings? Could it change our thinking, and affect our laws? Or does it re-traumatize, or even desensitize a nation? Grizzard posed his views counter to Sahara Byrne, Associate Professor of Media Communication at Cornell University.
