In an April 11^th article published by UBNow, Associate Professor of Communication, Melanie Green comments on how polarizing issues and morals are often behind the disagreements between the two political parties.  She used the death penalty as an example, stating that, “One person may think the death penalty is morally wrong, whereas the other person may believe the death penalty is ineffective at deterring crime. Although both individuals may strongly support their position, the first person holds this attitude with moral conviction.”

When talking about a divisive topic, think about the others point of view; in the end it could help promote change.
