On October 20, 2016, three Department of Communication faculty members were honored at the 13th annual Celebration of Faculty and Staff Excellence, held in the Slee Concert Hall on UB's North Campus. Dr. Mark Frank was honored with the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Scholarship and Creative Activities, Dr. Thomas H. Feeley was honored with the UB Exceptional Scholars - Sustained Achievement Award, and Dr. Hua Wang was honored with the UB Exceptional Scholars - Young Investigator Award. Dr. Wang was also featured in a short film highlighting faculty achievements.
