Kaitlin Fitzgerald's interests are studying media effects and narrative influence. Her research focuses on how certain narrative experiences can foster long-term, prosocial outcomes such as empathy and helping, moral sensitivity, and well-being. She explores the cognitive and emotional processes involved in the consumption of narratives, as well as the effects of those processes on attitudes and behavior.
