Deborah Reed-Danahay, Professor of Anthropology, was recently named Chevalier (knight) by the Ordre des Palmes Académiques. One of the oldest civilian honors bestowed by the French government, it recognizes professors and teachers for their distinguished contribution to French education and cultural heritage.

Reed-Danahay's research has focused on rural France, the French education system, and, most recently, French citizens' migrant experiences in London amid Brexit.

We congratulate Dr. Reed-Danahay on this accomplishment!
