As the pandemic continues to evolve, so do our campus health and safety protocols. As we prepare for a more normal return to campus come fall, we have updated UB's health and safety guidelines to reflect revised guidance from SUNY.
Effective immediately, summer protocols at UB include:
Students who are regularly on campus this summer will no longer need to participate in mandatory weekly testing upon verifying that they have been fully vaccinated.
Students on campus during the summer must continue to wear masks and stay physically distanced while indoors, unless they are alone in an enclosed office space or in their residence hall room.
In April, anyone aged 16 years or older residing in NYS was eligible to receive vaccine, but eligibility doesn't mean availability. Health Services currently doesn't have vaccine. To find a vaccination site and make an appointment, visit the NYS COVID-19 Vaccination website; outside NYS, search the national vaccine directory.
Once students have completed their vaccine series, they can upload a copy to the student's patient portal.
If you believe you do not meet the criteria for summer testing, please utilize this exemption form.
